The problem we couldn't stop thinking about.
Before founding Pensvyne, Henrik Larsson spent several years in regulatory operations at a mid-size registered investment adviser in New York. His role sat at the intersection of compliance technology and examination readiness — which meant he had a front-row view every time the process failed. A final rule would publish. The compliance team would triage it, flag it in a spreadsheet, maybe send an email. Three months later, during an SEC examination, an examiner would surface a supervisory procedure that hadn't been updated to reflect the change. The policy gap was real. The obligation had been public for months. Nobody's fault — the process simply had no mechanism for connecting regulatory text to the specific internal document it affected, then routing that connection to the right person with a deadline.
The available tools were either full GRC platforms — six-figure annual contracts, six-month implementations, built for the second line of defense at a large bank — or manual workflows held together by email threads and shared drives. There was nothing in the middle that did the actual regulatory-to-policy mapping work for a 20-person compliance team managing 150 policies across two jurisdictions.
Pensvyne is that gap closed. We are not a GRC platform replacement. We do one thing: take a regulatory change and tell you exactly which of your internal policies it touches, draft the gap assessment, and route it to the right owner — before any examiner asks.
